Collagen Chemistry: Better Late Than Never to Jump on This Train


**Disclaimer: I am writing this with collagen products all over my face, LOL.

Ever since I was in high school playing soccer I would always say to my teammates ‘don’t squint, it will give you wrinkles’ - as I’m doing my absolute best not to squint while the ball is coming for my head…. I did + do NOT want wrinkles + surprise I’m beginning to notice the inevitable lines on my forehead. I hate those damn lines! You know the ones when we raise our eyebrows to do our mascara or the RBF look-yeah those ones.

Well, I have been bound + determined to make them disappear. I started to read different blog posts, website reviews, in depth research articles, + doing my own little trial + error when it comes to prevention.
A little over two years ago, a family member started talking to me about collagen + the science behind it, like how when we're younger our skin has too much collagen, which is why we don’t have saggy, wrinkled skin at age 9, but as we age our bodies produce less + less of it leading to aging skin.

My fav is the Collagen Peptide Powder.  I add a scoop full to my smoothies, juices, or coffee in the AM (they have a creamer available too, but I just use the peptides for multiple drinks) +there is no noticeable taste difference. You can even add it to your favorite treats!

I’ve been noticing a difference in not only my skin but also internally. I’m able to improve the longevity of my workouts + still feel great after my run.
