Call it anal retentive... Call it overly organized, either way- it works + you will thank me for being the way I am because now you have a list to last a market season....or 8. I like to categorize my market organizing in a few different categories; Pre-Market, Market Day, & Therapy Day (Post Market). PRE-MARKET This part is done before you pack up your car to go to a market/vendor fair, because if you're anything like me the moment you leave your house all the things you could have forgotten run through your head. 1. To make your life easier, start planning + organizing about a week (or more) BEFORE the date you think you should start getting ready....especially if...
"Celebrate the tiny victories." But this my friends is a little bigger than 'tiny.' I am so excited to have it all done because wow was I close to a meltdown, literally (it was hotter than heck) + mentally (lots of leveling). In true me fashion, I didn't get a great picture of all of the supplies used together, but you get the picture with the list, I hope. Something to note, you can use lots of different types of exterior wood for this project. I opted for decking because it was what I had in my garage, the width worked for the size I was going for, + it was not treated lumber, meaning that the chemicals used to treat the wood...
New year, new projects. I took the last week of the year and a few days after the New Year to recharge as a creative. I dove into the things I have been saving on Pinterest and screen shot-ing and let me tell you it is exactly what I needed. Since November I feel like I have been working in hyper speed, it's truly a blessing to have orders to process and things to get done- no complaints, but my board of personal ideas was feeling pretty negelcted, had to show her some love. At the beginning of 2020, I noticed a trend of painting ceramic pottery and glass vases with the half paint half baking soda trend and loved...
Any Last Minute Linda's reading this....me included, pay attention. I've chatted with, shopped, and gone to a few of these local shops and wanted to put together a list for those who might not have the time to check every website, Instagram post or story to find out holiday hours. These local shops in Bakersfield are open and will be until at least Wednesday, holiday hours do apply. I tried to do my best in providing the pertinent information for you all! If you know of any shops that may be open for in person shopping or porch pick ups, please dm or email me (shopcreativecliches@gmail.com) with any information and I'll add them! C L O T H I N...
Gosh, I've been racking my brain around (is that how you say it, or is it wrapping my brain around....) - anyways, I've been trying to figure out if I should do four separate posts for these fun little D-I-Y projects I've done over the past few weeks because, well, stay at home order. OR if I should just cram them all into one. Seeing as I, A) have not written/posted in quiiiiiite some time B) have not posted about a do it yourself project before and C) am sometimes not the best at explaining things, I thought, eh what the fly, I'll just do one post and see how it goes. So - here it goes ;) PROJECT #1 Simple...
